Africa- Romans 12:12

Dear Readers,
As I am sure that you all know, our brothers in Japan are facing a very difficult time. The earthquake and tsunami caused massive damage, and the death toll continues to rise. Please keep our brothers and their families in your prayers.
I know I will.
(Romans 12:12)

  1. We have had these dear brothers in our hearts, minds, and prayers since we heard of the news. With some help from my friend, Rei Rei, in Kobe, I wrote a message to our spiritual family in Japan and included on my last upload to Flickr.

    私たちの愛する兄弟姉妹、私たちの世界中の兄弟姉妹たちは愛とともにエホバに祈っています。エホバがこの試練の時に保護と慰めを与えてくださいますように。

''My dear brothers and sisters, the worldwide brotherhood is praying for you with much love. May Jehovah give you protection and comfort during this trial. ''

I don't know Japanese, so I had to use Google translate and she then corrected it for me.

The really ironic thing to me is that the very night before the earthquake, we were watching the DVD on the World Wide Brotherhood (during our family worship evening)that discusses the disastrous earthquake in Kobe some years ago and highlighted the world-wide relief efforts. So good to have this comforting thought fresh in our minds--that despite the tragedy, Jehovah will continue to provide support, both materially and spiritually for these very dear ones.

  2. Deborah, thank you very much for going through that effort. I'm going to do the same for my Flickr. I'm sure Jehovah glows with appreciation when he sees the love among his people. I have Rei Rei marked as a friend as well, so I'll extend my thanks to her.

  3. Thank you for this post.

I have friends in Chiba, and Ibaraki that say they and the brothers and sisters are okay. They have already received some supplies in Ibaraki and have been built up by the meeting today. The others are further south of Japan, so I'm sure they are okay.
As for the rest, I'm sure we'll all keep praying for them and are already receiving relief both physical and spiritual.
